Hi, Great description! - You will have noticed that Huka Falls is very close to lake Taupo and it is most likely that the rocks at Huka Falls are almost entirly made from the material that the Taupo volcano produced - so if that is the case can it still be Andesite? What other evidence have you got that tells you where the rock came from?
